Building my own Linux LiveCD...
Excellent news! Slax was released yesterday (1/1/2004) and I've got it downloaded and burned to CD-RW. It boots up and looks great, but Tomas didn't include the KDE desktop icons for local hard drives as he did in the SlackLive releases (or am I thinking of Knoppix?).
I was planning to make my own Network Security Tool modules (like this or that) for Slax anyway, now it appears I'll want to modify the initrd (or related) scripts to scan for local drives and make the appropriate icons. I may not actually mount the drives, but having the icons there with a shortcut to mount would be great.
Oh, and I also want to lengthen the timeout for adding kernel options - 1 second isn't quite enough.
